Blue Cotton Basket

Start with a magic ring/circle;

1 – Work 6 single stitch in the circle and when complete work a split stitch on the 1st single crochet stitch;

2 – Work  chain to start and an increase in each stitch, making 2 single stitches for each stitch from previous row, working in circles use a stitch marker to separate rows (12 stitches in total);

3 – Work a single crochet stitch in the 1st stitch from the previous row, and 2 on the second (increase), repeat (18 stitches in total)

4 – 2 Single crochet stitches for each stitch from the previous row and work an increase on the 3rd stitch, repeat (24 stitches in total)

5 – Work 3 single crochet stitches for each stitch from the previous row and work an increase in the 4th stitch, repeat (total 30)

6 – Work an increase on the 4th single crochet stitch, a single for each stitch in between, repeat (total 36)

7 – Work an increase on the 5th single crochet stitch and a single crochet stitch in between, repeat (total 42)

8 – Work an increase on the 6th single crochet stitch and single crochet stitch in between, repeat (total 48)

9 – Work the back loop only of each stitch work a single crochet stitch for each created on the previous row (total 48)

10 – 15 – Working in both loops of the stitches, make a single crochet stitch for each of previous row, from row 10 to 15 (total 48)

16 – Final row, work a split stitch for each single crochet stitch from previous row, finish (total 48)
